In The Community - New York Riptide

In conjunction with the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Long Island, we look to positively impact youth and school aged children through the game of lacrosse and collaborative fundraising year round.

Jeff Teat and the New York Riptide are partnering with Citylax to put on a clinic for NYC youth. In 2005, Citylax embarked on a mission to develop and expand the game of lacrosse in NYC public schools through a public-private partnership model. Citylax is devoted to teaching the sport of lacrosse to all youth, despite location or financial constraints, they now serve close to 70 teams from NYC to Albany.

The When You Assist You Score program represents an innovative and simple way for businesses to serve “at-risk” youth in the community. Together, we provide an outstanding opportunity to engage youth in a variety of activities, including everything from sports to the performing arts.

Every Game, the New York Riptide honor Veterans with complimentary tickets and an honoree ceremony, a small token of our appreciation for sacrifices they’ve made. Shootout for Soldiers uses lacrosse as a platform to support American Veterans and foster community engagement.

The NY Riptide and World of Pink have partnered to raise awareness and welcome survivors of Breast Cancer at every game. World of Pink is a non-profit business that donates 100% of its proceeds to help breast cancer survivors in need.

Every Monday The New York Riptide Volunteer their time to conduct clinics at the Allstar Children’s Center. The their curriculum compliments current educational research of the best practices in working with young children and families which includes, the fundamentals of sports training.

During the 2022-2023 season, The New York Riptide has worked with many different organizations donating tickets and team gear for fundraisers. The New York Riptide has worked with, Mothers Against Drunk Driving, The Chrones and Colitis Foundation, The Fallen Soldier Foundation, The Billy Moon foundation & many more around Long Island.
