New York Riptide Add Bennett Drake As Video Coordinator

Uniondale, NY (August 19, 2021) – The New York Riptide have hired Bennett Drake as the team’s Video Coordinator, the team announced today.

Drake will report to Riptide General Manager Jim Veltman and Head Coach Dan Ladouceur.

“We are pleased to add Ben to our coaching staff.” Riptide General Manager Jim Veltman said. “His playing background and experience breaking down game film as an assistant coach with Georgian Court University makes him a great hire for this role.”

Drake attended UAlbany, graduating in 2017. Originally selected in the fifth round (47^th overall) of the 2017 NLL Entry Draft by the Georgia Swarm, Drake played 27 games for the Brampton Excelsiors of Major Series Lacrosse, scoring 71 points on 40 goals and 31 assists in 27 games played. Drake finished his collegiate career with 111 points on 80 goals and 31 assists in 64 games, adding 37 ground balls.

The Riptide will return to Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum for the franchise’s second season this December.
