Uniondale, NY (September 10, 2022) – The New York Riptide announced today that the team has signed General Manager Jim Veltman, Head Coach Dan Ladouceur, Offensive Coordinator Jason Crosbie, and Defensive Coordinator Pat Jones to three-year contract extensions. In addition, Video Coordinator Bennett Drake has been promoted to Director of Scouting, US Scout, and will retain his Video Coordinator duties.
After inheriting a 1-13 team upon their arrival in July 2020, the team signed four-time NLL All-Pro Callum Crawford and selected two-time Tewaaraton Trophy nominee Jeff Teat with the first overall pick in the 2020 NLL Entry Draft. The team scored the second most goals per game in the League, as well as a second-place finish in shooting percentage, improving on their last place finish from the 2019-20 season in both categories.
