NLL Draft Prospects – Ethan Walker

As we get ready for the NLL Draft on September 17, let’s take a look at some prospects that should be on the board heading into that night.

Next up, Ethan Walker from Peterborough, Ontario.

Walker spent last summer with the Peterborough Lakers, seeing action in six games with 12 points on five goals and seven assists for a deep Lakers team that won the Mann Cup. A product of the Lakers Junior system, he played in 40 Junior A games for Peterborough, recording 113 points during his career with 50 goals and 63 helpers. He also won a silver medal with Team Canada at the 2016 U-19 World Championships and was named the 2016 USA Today All-USA Boy’s Lacrosse Player of the Year at Culver Academy.

Collegiately, Walker plays at Denver. A 2020 BIG EAST All-Preseason Team nominee, he earned USILA Third Team All-America honors in 2018 and Honorable Mention in 2019 and 2017. Walker was the BIG EAST Attack Player of the Year in 2018 and the conference’s Freshman of the Year in 2017. He also earned BIG EAST First Team honors in 2017, 2018 and 2019. In 2020, he started all six games for the Pioneers before the season was cancelled, scoring 15 goals and dishing out 10 assists. He was the fastest player in Denver history to 100 points, accomplishing the feat in his sophomore season after just 23 games.
