NLL Draft Prospects – Reid Bowering

As we get ready for the NLL Draft this fall, let’s take a look at some prospects that should be on the board heading into that night.

First up, Reid Bowering from Coquitlam, British Columbia.

Bowering captured two Minto Cups while playing Junior A for the Coquitlam Adanacks, one in 2016 and the other in 2018. During his junior tenure, he was named BCJALL Defender of the Year three times and recorded 69 points on 28 goals and 41 assists in 47 regular season games over five seasons. In the playoffs, the six-foot lefthander saw action in 67 games with 51 points (21 goals, 30 assists) and 45 penalty minutes.

Collegiately, Bowering plays attack for Drexel University. Entering his senior season he has 102 career goals, good for seventh-most in Dragons history. In 2019, Bowering had one of the best offensive seasons in school history, recording 47 goals, which is one shy of the Drexel single-season record, while also dishing out nine assists. He led the Colonial Athletic Association and was seventh in the nation with 3.13 goals per game and was second in the country with 11 man up goals. That season, he was a Second-Team All-CAA honoree for the second consecutive season. He also earned a spot on the CAA All-Rookie Team in 2017.
