The Riptide Report: PLL Week 4

Last weekend, three New York Riptide players met in a familiar location, Long Island, at James M. Shuart Stadium on the campus of Hofstra University, for some PLL action. On this holiday weekend, squads only played once. However, the lack of the extra game did not mean a lack of production for the men in orange and blue, as Kieran McArdle, Brent Adams, and Jeff Teat all had their names in the box score. Let’s look at how they performed:

McArdle, who plays for Waterdogs LC during the summer, had a strong game, but ultimately the Waterdogs were defeated 19-16 by Redwoods LC. The Ronkonkoma, NY native inked his name on this high scoring affair though, totaling five points on three goals and two assists with ten shots.

Then it was a pair of Riptide teammates that appeared for Atlas LC: transition player Brent Adams and forward Jeff Teat.

Teat, who was named the PLL’s Player of the Week in week three with seven goals and two assists, had a solid game this week with three points on two goals and an assist, as Atlas LC defeated Chrome LC, 16-6. Adams chipped in as well, recording two ground balls and causing a turnover. On Thursday afternoon, Jeff Teat was named a PLL All Star, totaling 14 points on nine goals and five assists in just three games played.

This week, the teams will travel to Minneapolis, MN, at TCO Stadium from July 9-11 for Week 5.
