Riptide Hire Angus Dineley As Goalie Coach

Uniondale, NY (December 15, 2020) – The New York Riptide announced today that the team has hired Angus Dineley as the team’s goalie coach.

Dineley previously served as Goalie Coach for Team Canada at the 2016 and 2012 U19 Men’s World Championships. Dineley also is an Assistant Coach with St. Michaels High School in Toronto, ON. A goalie during his playing days, Dineley suited up for Team Canada at the 2010 and 2014 Men’s World Championships, as well as the 2012 Duel in Denver. He also played seven career NLL games, all coming in 2013 for the Philadelphia Wings. Dineley was twice named to the MAAC All-Academic Team while playing for Canisius College.

“We are very happy to have Angus on board with the Riptide to work with our young goalies,” said Riptide Head Coach Dan Ladouceur. “Having worked with Angus, I know he has a great disposition, enjoys excellent communication skills and has relevant experience that our young goalies can tap into for their own development. We wanted to provide a resource for our goalies growth and Angus was the right fit for this group.”

The Riptide will return to Nassau Coliseum for the franchise’s second season in on the weekend of April 9-11, 2021. For more information, please visit NewYorkRiptide.com or on social media at @NewYorkRiptide.
