NEW YORK, October 1, 2019 – The New York Riptide announced today that the team has signed Jake Fox to a contract.
Per team policy, no terms were released.
“We’re excited to have Jake in New York,” Riptide Head Coach and General Manager Regy Thorpe said. “We feel that his size and speed will certainly help us off the offensive side of the floor. He had a good summer playing with Brooklin in MSL and we’re excited to have him come in and compete for a job on the right side of the ball.”
Fox, selected 19thoverall by the Riptide in the 2019 NLL Entry Draft on September 17, played in 23 games during his collegiate career at Johns Hopkins. The 6-foot-3 forward captured a bronze medal with the Iroquois Nationals at the 2018 FIL World Championships. He was a member of the 2018 Peterborough Lakers squad that won the Mann Cup and spent the 2019 Major Series Lacrosse season with the Brooklin Redmen, where he had 36 points on 15 goals and 21 assists in 18 games.
