Uniondale, NY (June 14, 2021) – The New York Riptide have signed defender Andrew Borgatti to a three-year contract, the team announced today.

Per team policy, no terms were released.

Borgatti was selected by the Riptide 29th overall in the 2020 NLL Draft.

“Andrew provides an attractive versatility that Riptide fans will come to enjoy,” Riptide General Manager Jim Veltman said. “He can play both offense and defense which make him very valuable to our squad.  We are pleased to sign Andrew to a three-year deal that will give us time to develop his game at the pro level.”

A CUFLA Academic All-Canadian honoree following the 2019 season at Wilfrid-Laurier University, Borgatti had 14 points on seven goals and seven assists that season. He spent three seasons with Brampton and wrapped up his junior career with the Kitchener-Waterloo Braves. In 20 games for the Braves, he had 12 points with six goals and six assists.
