Riptide Summer League Recap

The NLL season may be a few months away, but a number of Riptide players played in the two outdoor leagues over the last month. Catch up with how they did below.

 

Major League Lacrosse

Tyson Gibson and Alex Woodall were teammates with the Philadelphia Barrage, finishing 2-3 for the week-long event. In five games, Gibson had eight goals and one assist for nine points. He also had four ground balls. Woodall, the first overall pick in last years MLL draft, went 79-of-134 on face-offs for the Barrage, 59.0 percent. He also had one assist and 35 ground ball pickups.

Another pair of Riptide players were teammates with the Connecticut Hammerheads as both Cody Radziewicz and Dan Lomas saw action in all five games for the squad, which finished 3-2. Lomas and Radziewicz each had two goals and two assists for the Hammerheads in those games.

 

Premier Lacrosse League

There were again two teams with two pairs of Riptide teammates in the Premier Lacrosse League Championship series as Connor Kelly and Kieran McArdle suited up for the expansion Waterdogs and Myles Jones and new member of the Riptide Brent Adams played for the Redwoods. Defenseman John Ranagan also played in the championship series for the Chrome.

For the Redwoods, Jones finished with 13 points on four one-point goals and two two-point goals and five assists in six games. Adams had six points on five one-point goals and one assist. The Redwoods fell in the semifinals of the tournament.

McArdle led the Waterdogs with 14 points on eight one-point goals and six assists in five games. Kelly, the first pick in the expansion draft by the Waterdogs, had five one-point goals and two two-point goals to go along with one assist for 10 points.

For Chrome, Ranagan recorded six points on four one-point goals and two assists in five games.
